Herib

Herib1, parentage and chronology unknown, probably married Neferibre2, by whom she was probably the mother of Psamtekmen3 and presumably of Peteharendjatef, Anemhor and Neferibre4.

[1] Not in PP. Gr: Hereius. Her existence was signalled by H. de Meulenaere, CdE 34 (1959) 244, 245 n. 3. She is named on unpublished statues Bordeaux inv. 1055 and Chicago Field Museum 31697 as the mother of Psamtekmen, here presumably identified with Psamtekmen (PP III 5878.) Ý

[2] Unpublished statues Bordeaux inv. 1055 and Chicago Field Museum 31697 name her as wife of Neferibre and mother of Psamtekmen. Ý

[3] Unpublished statues Bordeaux inv. 1055 and Chicago Field Museum 31697 name her as wife of Neferibre and mother of Psamtekmen. Ý

[4] Inferred from de Meulenaere's proposed identification of Neferibre, huisband of Herib and father of Psamtekmen of unpublished statues Bordeaux inv. 1055 and Chicago Field Museum 31697 with Neferibre (PP III 5645). Ý
