| Tyndale House Library is one of three libraries in the world that are dedicated solely to the scholarly study of the Bible – the others are the École Biblique in Jerusalem and the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. It was established as an independent library to give scholars the tools to provide a firm academic foundation for positive biblical research. | It aims to provide access to every academic book about biblical studies and biblical background in modern and ancient languages. The large world-wide community of scholars who use this library attest to the importance of this collection. |

| About sixty scholars make regular use of Tyndale House in any month. Some are on a three year PhD program, while others are taking a short study period and are preparing for teaching in university, theological college, or pulpit, whether in their home country or as missionaries. Many come just for a few days because this is such a productive place to work. | With all the necessary materials so easily available, scholars find that a day at Tyndale Library can be worth a week elsewhere. There are usually more than a dozen nationalities represented at any one time. |
