« A.U.C. 587 = 167 B.C. »

This year had an intercalation starting the day after the Terminalia, hence 22 days (Livy 45.44.3).

On the reconstructed Lex Acilia proposed here, it follows that the previous year, A.U.C. 586 = 168, was a regular year. Since the absolute dates of A.U.C. 586 = 168 are known, this fixes the Julian dates of A.U.C. 587 = 167.
